Eric Bibb & His Band kick off their Australian National Tour on the West Coast Friday 10 May at Rock Rover in Fremantle Perth, and then at The River in Margaret River on Saturday 11 May. Eric Bibb's music is a rich blend of the blues with elements of folk, country, gospel, and soul. He is the son of New York folk singer Leon Bibb, who influenced Eric immeasurably with exposure to a wide variety of acoustic folk music and the opportunity to "hang out" with performers like Pete Seeger and Bob Dylan in the sixties when Eric was a young boy. The album furthered Bibb's international reputation and was followed by tours of the UK, USA, Canada, France, Sweden and Germany. In the late 90’s Eric joined forces with his then manager Alan Robinson, to form Manhaton Records, in Britain. "Keep it simple," Bob Dylan famously told a young Eric Bibb at a party thrown by Bibb's parents' house in Hollis, Queens.
